What to bring

PACK IN A SOFT/COLLAPSIBLE BAG:

These suitcases come in different sizes. Just make sure that it collapses so that we can put it away for you as space for luggage is limited. In our opinion, getting one with wheels and a solid bottom is best, in our opin. Also, consider price, material and reviews

SUGGESTED APPAREL: 

• Rain coat 

• Rain pants- weather dependent

• Short sleeve shirts

• Long sleeve shirts- for sun protection

• Wick-away shirts

• Shorts

• Dresses/skirts

• Hats/hat lanyard

• Sunglasses/lanyard

• Sneakers for walking/hiking

• Sandals/flip flops

• Water shoes- very important to bring!

• Fins, goggles, snorkel- By-La Sea has enough sets on the boat for all guests. If you prefer a great fit for your mask, we suggest bringing your own. If you are sailing with Ransom, bring your own set

• Sailing gloves

COMFORT ITEMS/NECESSITIES:

• Sunscreen minimum 30 SPF-reef friendly if possible

• Lip balm with SPF

• Bug spray

• Prescription, emergency and over-the-counter medications. Please have prescription meds labeled with your name and medication name and dosing schedule in case of emergency

• Anti-seasick medication- we suggest over-the-counter Dramamine (meclizine)

• Toiletries

• Ear plugs

• Life vest/PFD- (supplied on board) bring your own comfortable one if you will be wearing one for an extended period of time, like for dinghy rides or in the water for swimming

• Beach towel- optional. By-La Sea provides:

  • 1 bath towel

  • 1 hand towel

• 1 Turkish towel- can be used for a bath or as a beach towel

MISCELLANEOUS:

• Passport. Also paper & or electronic copy of your passport

• 12 volt adapter “car phone charger”-By-La Sea is 220 volt 

• Waterproof bag/dry bag

• Camera

• Water camera

• Thermal water bottle

• Cash- ATMs are available in some locations 

• Reading material 

• Earbuds/headphones

• Ear plugs

• Playlists on your phones (boat will have bluetooth)

BOAT SUPPLIES:

• Towels, linens- as above

• First aid kit

• Hand soap in all bathrooms

• Dish soap and dish towels

• Aluminum foil, cling wrap, Zip-Lock bags

• Paper towels

• Toilet paper

• Fins, goggles, snorkel- on By-La Sea

• Life vests-bring your own comfortable one if you will be wearing one for an extended period of time, like for dinghy rides or in the water for swimming

• Pool noodle/floaties

• Clothes pins for drying clothes and sealing food

For any other plug in appliance that you would like to bring, please send us an email to inquire if it is appropriate to bring on board. 

Do Not  bring a hair dryer as the energy it uses is too much of a drain on the electrical system.
